Team
Devcrate began in 2019 when two of us, then platform engineers at a shipping company, rewrote the terminal we were forced to use. It went on an internal share, then on GitHub, then people asked to pay for a supported build. The git client and the API workbench followed for the same reason: the tools we had were either subscriptions or abandoned.
We are six now, all engineers, all on support rotation. Every release is tested on Windows 10 and 11, x64 and ARM64, and on the WSL distributions people actually run. Feature requests are tracked in public.
Every release note lists what changed and what broke. Feature requests are voted on in the open; the top ten are on the roadmap with a quarter attached. If a request will never happen, we say so rather than leaving it to rot.

No. Tabs, panes, WSL and SSH profiles and GPU rendering are all in the free edition. Pro adds the command palette history, session restore across reboots, and synced profiles between your PCs through a folder you choose.
Nothing. Collections, session books and profiles are plain files on your disk; commit them, sync them, back them up however you like. The only network calls are update checks and license validation for paid editions.
Yes. The CLI (`reqlab run collection.json --env staging`) ships with every license, including the free trial, and works on Windows, Linux and macOS runners.
Team is $36 per seat per year with a console to assign and revoke keys, invoice billing, and a policy file you can drop into your image. Minimum 5 seats. Solo and Pro are one-time per person.
It can run its own agent or use the one Windows ships. Keys stay in an encrypted book; nothing is uploaded, and the agent forwards only to hosts you mark as trusted.
Thirty days, no questions, full refund. The form in the refund terms takes a minute; the key is deactivated when the money goes back.

We do not collect sensitive personal information, precise geolocation, biometric data or data about protected characteristics.
No. No sale, no “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, no ad networks, no data brokers, no analytics on this site. Because of that, the “Do Not Sell or Share” option that some sites need is not applicable here; our cookie manager nevertheless treats a Global Privacy Control signal as a refusal of all non-essential cookies.
Your name, e-mail, message, the extra fields you fill in, the time, the address-bar parameters of the page and a shortened IP address are written to a file on our server that the web cannot read, and a copy goes to team@devcrateapps.com. We reply from that mailbox. We keep the exchange for two years so we can look up what was promised, then delete it.
One: dc_consent, which remembers your cookie choices for six months. If you turn on the Google map in the contact section, Google sets its own cookies (NID, CONSENT, SOCS). Everything is listed in the Cookie Policy, and you can change your mind under “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Nobody else. We do not transfer data to affiliates and we have none.
Tell you what we hold, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop using it for a purpose you dislike. California residents have these rights by statute (know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, limit use of sensitive data, non-discrimination); residents of other states with privacy laws have the equivalent set; everyone else gets the same treatment from us as a matter of policy. E-mail team@devcrateapps.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We confirm within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. We verify you by writing back to the address we have on file, and we accept requests from an authorized agent with your signed permission.
Our Windows apps (Crate Terminal, Gitwise, ReqLab and our other Windows applications) work offline. The only network calls are an update check (app name and version) and, for paid editions, a license validation (key, version, Windows build). Nothing is sent from your documents. Crash reports are opt-in per incident.
Not for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data and delete it on notice.
The date at the top changes and, for anything material, a banner appears on the site for 30 days.

You may browse, read and contact us. You may not scrape the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, submit false information through the form or interfere with its operation. Prices shown are in US dollars; sales tax, where due, is added at checkout based on your billing address.
Subject to these terms, Devcrate Software LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the licensed edition of our software (Crate Terminal, Gitwise, ReqLab, JSON Loupe, MacroKey, ShellDock) on the number of Windows devices stated for your plan (Personal: up to 3 devices you own; Pro: up to 5; Team: one device per seat). Free editions may be used without payment for personal and commercial purposes with the limitations shown in the app. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the software except where the law expressly allows it; remove notices; rent, lease or sublicense it; use it to build a competing product; or circumvent license checks. The software is licensed, not sold; we keep all rights not expressly granted. Updates within the same major version are included; major upgrades may carry an upgrade price, announced at least 30 days in advance. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these terms and do not cure within 15 days of notice; on termination you must uninstall the software. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
Checkout is handled by our payment processor. Free editions require no account. Paid licenses are one-time (lifetime for the major version) or yearly, as stated on the product card; yearly plans auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date, and we remind you 14 days ahead. Keys arrive by e-mail; if they do not, write to us and we resend them the same business day.
E-mail support on business days from Seattle, WA, answered within one business day. Minor updates are free; major upgrades may be paid, with 30 days’ notice and a discount for existing customers.
Thirty-day warranty that the software works as described; remedy: fix, replacement or refund. Otherwise the software and the site are provided “as is” to the extent the law allows. Our aggregate liability is capped at what you paid us in the previous 12 months; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where state law forbids a limitation, it does not apply.
Washington law governs. Talk to us first (30 days of good-faith negotiation), then the courts of Seattle, WA — or small-claims court where eligible. You keep the consumer protections of your home state.

Necessary means the site cannot honour your decision without it: the consent cookie is how we know you already answered the banner. Functional means an optional convenience — the embedded map of our office. Nothing in the functional category loads until you allow it; the map is replaced by a placeholder with our address and a link to Google Maps in a new tab, which does not set cookies on this site.
